v How to take screenshot?

                  i.        First of all go to file menu and select create option & after that select screenshot option & click on it.

               ii.        Click on the screenshot of a single window option and click on snap option.

v How to set brightness and contrast?

               i.        First of all open your image.

            ii.        Select brightness-contrast option from color tool of tool menu.

          iii.        By using slider set the amount of brightness-contrast of image and click on ‘OK’ button.

v Brightness/contrast: - This feature is used to improve the picture quality of an image.

v  Cropping an image: - Cropping is a process in which we cut the particular portion of an image.

v How to crop an image?

        i.        First of all select the crop tool from the tool box .

      ii.        Set the mouse pointer on image & drag the mouse to select parts of the image which you want.

    iii.        And finally click on enter button.

v How to remove the red eye?

Ø As we know that red eye problem comes due to reflection of flash light during clicking image by digital camera.

     i.        First of all open image with red eye.

   ii.        Select the ellipse select tool from tool box & drag around the red eye.

iii.        Click on filter menu & select the enhance option as well as select the red eye removal option & click on it.

 iv.        Set the threshold value by sliding slider and finally click on ‘OK’ button.

v Layers:-Layers are like different sheets of artwork of an image.

Ø It is viewed all at once or separately.

Ø This content on each can be reordered & edited independently.

Ø Layers can be locked with each other.

Ø It is transparent until something is drawn or pointed on it.

v How to create a new layer?

 i.        First of all click on new layer option from layer menu. Now, layer dialog box appear on the screen.

ii.        Type the name of the layer & select layer fill type and click on it.

iii.        And finally click on ‘OK’ button to add new layer.

v Layer mode: - It changes the appearances of an image on layer based on the layer or layers beneath it. A layers act as a kind of mask.

Ø If there is only one layer then the layer mode has no effect. Therefore, there must be at least two layers in the image to use layer mode.

vHow to draw an image by using layers?

         i.        First of all go to new layer option to create a new layer.

      ii.        Draw an image with the help of select tool. (like: ellipse, rectangle)
etc.

    iii.        Fill the color in the selected shape by using bucket fill tool.

v How to make animation in GIMP?

     i.        First of all go to filter menu and select animation option. After taking picture.

   ii.        After that select the desired types of animation like: Blend, Spinning, Globe, Rippling & Waves and click on it.

 iii.        Again go to filter menu & select animation option as well as select play back option & click on it.
